Testimonials

Working with Sasha has been amazing. Not only was Sasha a compassionate listener that fostered a safe and open environment but allowed me to go on the ultimate journey. It was a journey that allowed me to gain a deepened sense of self awareness and understand the inner source of the challenges I was facing and how to resolve it. This journey began with Sasha sharing the ultimate somatic tools that can be applied throughout all aspects of my life. Likewise the tools that help with mind body connection go way beyond the basic mindfulness tools (ie body scan, progressive muscle relaxation). Overall you would be amazed at how much your life can improve by engaging in the somatic therapy with Sasha as her therapy approach is versatile and personalized to work with anyone in there own scenario.

Through the sessions I had with Sasha with her guidance a few of the things I was able to achieve:

-A beautiful home birth with no intervention through the tools I leant to manage the pain and follow the cues of my body during labor and delivery

-Gain the confidence and strategies to strengthen my connection with my parents that had previously been scared due to the childhood emotional trauma

-Decrease my overall stress and anxiety in my day to day life through recognizing and relaxing the triggers of stress in my thoughts that were reflected in my body (which helped to eliminate stress related symptoms that I had previously experienced such as IBS).

"Despite not meeting in person until the day of my labour due to Covid 19, Sasha did an amazing job supporting me through prenatal virtual appointments and an exceptional job supporting me through my birth. She listened to my wants and needs and was a calm, empowering, and skilled support during my labour. I couldn’t have done it without her! Everyone deserves a doula like Sasha as part of their birth experience."

Sasha was there for me and my husband during the most difficult time of our lives. While Sasha was providing her wonderful services during my second trimester, we found out our baby boy Gabriel had a severe heart defect, which later turned out to be a fatal genetic disease. Sasha was there for me throughout it all – during the weeks of uncertainty when the doctors were trying to find out more information, to the eventual stillbirth of our angel baby.  She provided helpful breathing and relaxation techniques, and even tension-relieving massages. She was extremely prepared during my 12-hour labour. She supported me in the most devastating time with her soft and encouraging presence.

I never knew what a doula was before Sasha but now I can’t imagine not having her support in the unpredictable journey of motherhood. I highly recommend her, especially for first-time mothers.

"Sasha provided amazing support in the weeks and days leading up to the birth of my first child. As a first time mom, there were a lot of things I was unsure about and consequently terrified of going through labour. Sasha was highly knowledgeable and helped me understand the process I was going through and introduced simple techniques which eased so much of my anxiety. Besides supporting me in feeling confident for labour and birth, she also gave my husband great tips and advice on practical things he could do to support me best. Sasha was constantly in tune with my needs. In one of our sessions close to my due date, I was starting to feel tense and aching from the pregnancy. Sensing my stress, she turned the session’s focus to relaxation and gave me a massage to work out my tension. Sasha was wonderful throughout the experience and I would recommend her without reservation."

"There are not enough words to thank you for your support during this journey. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how incredibly long and lonely this process can be, though rewarding in the end. I can’t thank you enough for helping me stay sane and encouraging me every step of the way. Please keep doing what you do, as your services are very much appreciated and needed."
